CHAMP Galagon is a great clone of the arcade classic game Galaga. Building upon their earlier game CHAMP Galaxia (a clone of Galaxian) this game offers the same great gameplay as the original Namco arcade game.CHAMP Galagon is a DOS-based arcade-style shoot em up game, developed by CHAMP Games. It is heavily inspired by Galaga, a popular arcade game from the early 1980s, bringing a modernized take on the classic gameplay with enhanced graphics, sound, and smooth controls while retaining the core mechanics. Objective: Destroy waves of enemy spacecraft that fly in patterns and attempt to destroy the player’s ship. Survive as long as possible and score high points by defeating enemies and avoiding their attacks. Core Mechanics: Players control a spaceship at the bottom of the screen. The enemy ships enter the screen in various formations and fly toward the players ship, occasionally attacking in coordinated patterns. The goal is to destroy all enemy ships in a wave before moving on to the next level, where the enemies movements and attack patterns become increasingly difficult. Combat: The players ship is equipped with rapid-fire lasers to shoot down enemy ships. Players can earn power-ups (like rapid fire or additional ships) and extra points by clearing waves. Levels and Progression: Each wave consists of enemies that increase in number and speed as the player progresses. Special "boss" ships may appear in some levels, providing an extra challenge. Dodge and Attack: The player must dodge enemy fire and maneuver to avoid getting hit while simultaneously attacking. Avoiding enemy formations and the occasional "swoop" from attacking ships is crucial for survival.
