Whack-a-Puyo is a unique spin-off of the Puyo Puyo series that combines the addictive puzzle gameplay of the original with the frantic, timing-based gameplay of Whac-a-Mole. In this game, players take on the role of a Puyo Puyo clearer, tasked with whacking a Puyo character that pops up at random intervals from a series of holes on the screen. Each time a Puyo appears, it will start to fill the hole with colored bubbles, and if the player fails to whack the Puyo before all the bubbles are filled, the clear counter will reset. The game features a fast-paced, high-score-chasing experience that challenges players to react quickly and precisely to clear the Puyo and achieve a high score.
