About this game

Viper is a very simple text-mode shmup from 1986. You face wave after wave of enemy ships, and you blast em while avoiding their shots. Thats pretty much it, but thankfully the author created some sweet-looking text-mode graphics for your ship and the enemy ships, each which are comprised of several characters. There are animations when your ship takes a hit, and then when it gets hit a second time and explodes. The enemy ships also have simple animations. It adds a lot to the games charm. Later waves get more difficult as you progress, and with only three lives, you may not get far!
