The Secret of Cooey is a simple but entertaining RPG game with some humor thrown into the mix. The author mentions it took him about 25 hours to complete the game using Quickbasic, which is pretty impressive. The story involves going on a quest or something, its not really important. The characters have personalities, and you fight a lot of turn-based battles against mundane enemies like rats to gain levels. It includes Soundblaster music (ripped from other games of course) and decent graphics.
