Romaz

About this game

Romaz is a strange textmode Pac-Man type game which describes itself as a "cat and mouse" game. You ("Junior"), a smiley, must collect dots and avoid the "mazzers". It works similarly to Pac-Man, as you can collect shields (power-pellets) to temporarily turn the tables on your enemies. The gameplay is a bit stilted, and its not always easy to turn corners, which is sort of necessary in this sort of game. The included CONFIG.EXE configuration utility provides a whole lot of options, the most important being the ability to TURN OFF THE PC SPEAKER SOUNDS since theyre quite annoying. (The DOSBOX_ROMAZ.ZIP provided here keeps all the settings as default but turns off the sounds.) It also gives speed settings, difficulty, and the ability to customize the game in many ways including the ASCII characters used and colors, which is neat.
