Need for Speed

About this game

The first game in the now venerable Need for Speed series made an appearance for DOS computers, in addition to the Playstation and other console platforms. This demo version of the game shows off its impressive 3D graphics (not assisted by special hardware) and sound effects ... impressive for 1995, anyways. It doesnt offer you any options but does allow you to race against computer controlled cars and get a feel for what the game is like. It does provide some simple but enjoyable racing action and serves as a prototype for future games in the series.
