Murder Cruise

About this game

Murder Cruise is a text-based sleuthing game which was according to the author inspired by a Commodore PET game called Grungy Towers by Jim Butterfield. Both games are similar to the board game Clue (or Cluedo outside North America). At the beginning of the game, someone on the cruise has been murdered. Your job is to investigate, and based on the statements of the people on the ship, deduce who committed the murder. The game is randomized so every time you play, its a different killer, all of the suspects are in different locations, etc. It seems to work pretty well and the in-game instructions will help you with the controls.
