Of all of the Bomberman clones Ive seen so far, this one is closest to Bomberman in terms of graphics, powerups, gameplay ... everything! It plays very well, looks great, and if youre lucky enough to be on a network, you can play with up to eight players at once! Two-player mode is available for stand-alone PCs. (Note that only Gravis Ultrasound (GUS) is supported for sound effects, so youll need to do the work to set up GUS in DOSBox on your PC if you want sound.)Mr. Boom is a classic retro-style action game inspired by the popular "Bomberman" series, where you take on the role of Mr. Boom, a brave little character armed with bombs! In this fast-paced game, you must strategically place bombs to destroy obstacles, defeat enemies, and navigate through increasingly challenging levels. The goal is to clear the maze of all enemies and reach the exit while avoiding the explosion radius of your own bombs and enemy attacks. As you progress, you can collect power-ups to enhance your abilities, such as increased bomb power or extra speed. With its simple yet addictive gameplay, Mr. Boom offers hours of fun as you test your reflexes, strategy, and timing. Will you be able to outsmart the enemies and clear every level?
