About this game

Mindcube is an action / puzzle game from Soleau Software, which is famous for its puzzle games, although this particular game leans more towards the action side than puzzle. Here the object is to gather all 10 of the $ blocks on the level while avoiding the security cameras which are constantly scanning for you. Hiding behind blocks so that the cameras dont have a direct path to you will ensure that they dont see you; you can also push blocks around to form barriers or gain access to the $ blocks.Mindcube is a DOS-based puzzle game released in the early 1990s, designed to challenge players problem-solving skills with a unique and engaging twist. The game centers around moving cubes in a 3D space, making it both a strategic and visually stimulating experience. In Mindcube, players are tasked with navigating a series of increasingly difficult puzzles that involve manipulating cubes in a 3D space. The objective is often to arrange the cubes in a specific configuration or align them in such a way that solves the puzzle at hand. Core Gameplay Mechanics: 3D Cube Manipulation: The primary mechanic of Mindcube involves rotating and moving cubes in a 3D space. Players must think critically to position the cubes in a way that achieves the puzzle’s goal. Some cubes may need to be aligned in a specific pattern, while others might require positioning them in a sequence or matching colors, shapes, or patterns. Puzzle Progression: As players progress through the game, the puzzles become more complex, requiring more thought and planning. Early levels may focus on simple cube arrangements, while later ones might introduce multiple cubes with different properties, such as movable sides or other obstacles. Objectives: Each level has a goal, whether it’s to complete a specific arrangement, form a pathway, or manipulate the cubes to trigger certain actions or results. There may be time constraints, limited moves, or other challenges that increase the difficulty of each level. Visual and Audio Feedback: The game uses 3D graphics, which were quite advanced for its time, to display the cubes and the puzzle space. Sound effects and possibly background music help enhance the atmosphere, though they may be fairly simple due to the limitations of early PC audio technology. Level Variety: Mindcube may include different types of puzzles, such as those that focus purely on arrangement or those that introduce other elements, like navigating obstacles or interacting with the environment.
