About this game

A mostly average Arkanoid clone. It has fairly good graphics, but the general lack of powerup items (they do appear, but much too infrequently) make the game less exciting than it could have been. Other than that, its a very playable remake of the classic Breakout-style game. It allows six players, but not simultaneously, so each person has to wait to take their turn. Bummer. (Note that you can increase the speed in the Options, the default is a bit slow.)G-Stones 3 is a puzzle and strategy game that falls within the G-Stones series, which blends elements of puzzle-solving, tile-matching, and strategic gameplay. The third installment, released for DOS, builds upon the mechanics established in earlier titles while adding more complex challenges and expanding the game world. In G-Stones 3, players continue their quest through a mystical and intricate world where they must solve puzzles by manipulating different types of stones. Key Features: Puzzle Gameplay: G-Stones 3 revolves around puzzle mechanics that require players to move and place various types of stones within a grid-based environment. The objective is to match or align the stones in specific ways to clear the grid or fulfill other objectives. The puzzles increase in difficulty as you progress through the game. Players must think strategically, as each stone type may have different properties that affect gameplay, such as the ability to move in certain directions, rotate, or interact with other stones. Tile-Matching Mechanics: The core gameplay of G-Stones 3 is built around tile-matching mechanics similar to other puzzle games of the era. The player must match like-colored stones or achieve specific patterns and configurations to solve each level. Some stones have special abilities or interactions that must be used creatively to solve complex puzzles. Challenging Levels: G-Stones 3 features multiple levels with increasing complexity. As players advance, new stone types, mechanics, and obstacles are introduced. The puzzles become progressively harder, requiring more strategic planning and foresight to solve them. Some levels feature time constraints, adding an extra layer of challenge as players need to complete puzzles quickly. Storyline and World-Building: The game includes a light narrative and world-building, adding depth to the puzzles and providing a sense of progression. Players are introduced to the mystical world where the G-Stones exist, and they are tasked with unlocking the secrets of these powerful stones. While the game is primarily focused on puzzle mechanics, the storyline helps motivate the player to continue solving puzzles and uncover the mysteries of the game world. Variety of Stone Types: The game introduces several different types of stones, each with unique abilities or behaviors. These stones might include ones that rotate when moved, ones that trigger other stones, or ones that explode when aligned correctly. Each stone type has its own set of rules and strategies for how they interact with other stones, making each puzzle require different approaches. Strategic Elements: Players must plan ahead, thinking several moves in advance, to set up the stones for optimal placement. The puzzles often require foresight and long-term planning. Some puzzles may involve creating specific patterns or solving multiple interconnected puzzles at once.
