Final Impact

About this game

Final Impact is a game that possesses most of the qualities necessary for a hit game, with great production values, sound effects, and slick design. However, it unfortunately falls a bit short in the gameplay department. Its a mission-based shooting game with a similar format to Raptor, where you fly missions and earn money to buy new weapons and upgrades. The actual missions seem VERY difficult, and the way your ship fires (depending on the weapon, you can fire in 4 or 8 directions) is not easy to do. The default controls also probably will need to be reconfigured but thankfully you can do that within the game. Seems like a bit more playtesting would have made this game great, but as-is this demo is a great example of the kind of production values of this period of time. (Full game was released on CD with a full soundtrack.)
