The sequel to the awesome original Descent game, this game picks up right where the first left off. You again fly your ship with full range of movement around the many mine shafts destroying enemy robots. There are of course new enemies to fight and new features like the Guide-bot.Descent II is the direct sequel to the groundbreaking Descent game, released in 1996 for DOS. Developed by Parallax Software, Descent II expands upon the innovative features of the original game, offering enhanced gameplay, new weapons, more complex environments, and a deeper storyline. It built on the success of its predecessor, further refining the six-degrees-of-freedom (6DOF) gameplay and establishing itself as a classic in the first-person shooter (FPS) genre. Expanded Six-Degrees-of-Freedom (6DOF) Movement: Like its predecessor, Descent II supports 6DOF gameplay, allowing players to move freely in all directions (up, down, left, right, forward, and backward). The free movement system is enhanced with new abilities, including the ability to roll and strafe more efficiently, providing greater control over your spacecraft in tight, high-speed battles. New Weapons and Power-ups: Descent II introduces new weapons such as the Proximity Bomb, Fusion Cannon, and Gauss Cannon, expanding the players arsenal.
