Daily Wordoku
About this game
Everyday new Wordoku levels. A wordoku is a sudoku with letters. Every letter only appears once per row, column or 3x3 box.Daily Wordoku is a variation of the classic Sudoku puzzle, but instead of using numbers, players fill a 9x9 grid with letters from a given word. The puzzle is refreshed daily with a new word and grid layout, offering a fresh challenge every day. Core Features of the Game: Daily Puzzle: Every day, a new Wordoku puzzle is presented with a unique set of letters. The word used for the puzzle could be different every day, offering a fresh word each time (e.g., "PUZZLE", "GAME", "LOGIC", etc.). The difficulty may vary, with simple puzzles at the start of the week and more challenging ones as the week progresses. Grid Layout: The grid is a 9x9 layout, divided into 3x3 subgrids (just like Sudoku). Each subgrid, row, and column must contain the letters of the chosen word, but each letter can only appear once per row, column, and subgrid. Basic Rules: Letter Placement: The goal is to fill the 9x9 grid with the correct letters. Each row, column, and 3x3 subgrid must contain all of the letters from the given word. No Repetition: Each letter can only appear once per row, column, or subgrid. Given Letters: Some cells will already be filled in with letters, and the player must figure out where the other letters go. Valid Word: The solution must form a valid "word" (i.e., a specific set of letters) each time the grid is completed. Gameplay Mechanics: Interactive Grid: Players click or tap on an empty cell to place a letter from the available set. Backtracking: If a letter is placed incorrectly, the game highlights the mistake and prompts the player to correct it. Letter Set: A set of letters (usually 9 distinct letters) is displayed for the player to choose from and place in the grid. Timer and Scoring: Timer: The game may include a timer to track how long it takes to complete the puzzle. Players can try to improve their solving time each day. Move Count: Some versions of the game might keep track of the number of moves made, rewarding fewer moves with higher scores. Leaderboards: Players can compete to see who can solve the puzzle the fastest or with the fewest mistakes. Hints and Assistance: Hint System: A hint system could show a valid letter placement or highlight a row, column, or subgrid that can be completed immediately. Undo Button: Players can undo their last move to correct mistakes or try a different approach. Error Checking: The game can provide visual feedback when an incorrect letter is placed. Responsive Design: The game is built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring it works smoothly on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. The grid layout and user interface will adjust to different screen sizes for an optimal gaming experience. Daily Streaks and Achievements: Streak Tracking: Players can track their progress with a streak counter, showing how many days in a row they’ve solved the daily puzzle. Achievements: The game can reward players with achievements, such as completing a puzzle in a certain time, using hints efficiently, or completing multiple daily puzzles.
