In the HTML version of Ludo, the game is digitized for easy play in web browsers, with interactive controls and AI or multiplayer options. Whether youre playing with friends or against the computer, the HTML version of Ludo brings this popular game into the digital world, keeping the same fun mechanics while offering smooth, accessible gameplay. Gameplay Mechanics Objective: The main objective of Ludo is for a player to move all of their four tokens around the board from the starting area to the home area before the other players. Each player controls one set of tokens, which are moved based on dice rolls. Basic Setup: The game is played on a square board, divided into four colored sections (one for each player). Each player has four tokens placed in their starting area (home). Players take turns rolling a six-sided dice to determine how many spaces they can move their token(s). The first player to move all four of their tokens to the home area wins the game. Moving Tokens: Players begin by rolling a six to move a token from the starting area onto the track. Once a token is on the track, it can be moved forward according to the roll of the dice. For example, if a player rolls a 4, they move one of their tokens four spaces forward. Players can stack multiple tokens on a single space, blocking the other players from landing on it, unless the other player also has a token there. Special Rules: Rolling a 6: When a player rolls a 6, they are allowed to roll again. If a player rolls a 6 three times in a row, they lose their turn. Safety Zone: Some versions of the game have a safe zone, where tokens are safe from being captured by other players. Capture: If a players token lands on an opponents token (and the opponent is not in a safety zone), the opponents token is sent back to its starting area. Winning the Game: To win, a player must get all four of their tokens to the home area. Tokens enter the home area when they have completed a full loop around the board. The player must roll the exact number needed to land on the home area; for example, if a player is one space away from the home area and they roll a 5, they must wait for another turn.
