Crazy Eights

About this game

Crazy Eights is a classic and fun card game for 2 or more players (typically 4 players). The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards by matching the rank or suit of the card on the discard pile. The game is named after the 8 card, which is wild and allows players to change the suit. How to Play Crazy Eights: Setup: Use a standard 52-card deck (or multiple decks for more players). Shuffle the deck and deal 5 cards to each player (7 cards if playing with 2 players). Place the remaining deck face-down in the center as the draw pile. Turn the top card of the draw pile face-up to start the discard pile. Gameplay: Players take turns in a clockwise direction. On your turn, you must play a card that matches either: The rank (e.g., if the top card is a 7, you can play any 7). The suit (e.g., if the top card is a Heart, you can play any Heart). If you cannot play a matching card, you must draw cards from the draw pile until you get a playable card. Special Cards: 8 (Crazy Eight): Play an 8 to change the suit to any suit of your choice. The next player must follow the new suit. Queen of Spades: In some variations, the Queen of Spades is a penalty card that forces the next player to draw 5 cards. 2 or Jack: In some versions, playing a 2 or Jack forces the next player to draw 2 cards or skip their turn. Winning the Game: The first player to play all their cards wins the round. If the draw pile runs out, reshuffle the discard pile (except the top card) to create a new draw pile.
