Daily Trees and Tents
About this game
Daily classic logic puzzle game where you have to place Tents next to Trees. Read the in-game help for all the rules.Daily Trees and Tents is a daily logic puzzle game where players need to place tents around trees on a grid. The puzzle presents a grid of cells, some containing trees, and the goal is to place tents around them while following certain rules. Core Features of the Game: Daily Puzzle: Every day, a new Trees and Tents puzzle is generated with a unique configuration of trees and spaces. Each puzzles difficulty may increase over the course of the week, with puzzles becoming progressively more complex. Grid Layout: The grid is typically a square (e.g., 6x6, 8x8) or a rectangular layout. Some cells contain trees (indicated by a tree icon), while others are empty. The empty cells are where tents must be placed. Basic Rules: Each tree must have exactly one tent placed next to it (either horizontally or vertically, not diagonally). Tents cannot be placed next to each other, meaning no two tents can be adjacent in any direction. Clue Numbers: The numbers outside the grid represent the number of tents that must be placed in that row or column. The grid must be filled in such a way that the rules are satisfied, and the puzzle is solved. Gameplay Mechanics: Placing Tents: Players click or tap on an empty cell to place a tent. If they click on a cell again, the tent is removed. Checking for Mistakes: If a player places a tent incorrectly (such as next to another tent or not adjacent to a tree), the game will highlight the error and prompt the player to correct it. Winning the Game: The puzzle is solved when all tents are correctly placed around the trees, satisfying the rule constraints. Timer and Scoring: Timer: A timer can track how long it takes to complete the puzzle, and players can challenge themselves to solve it faster each day. Move Count: Some versions of the game could track the number of moves used to solve the puzzle, rewarding fewer moves with a higher score. Leaderboards: Players can compare their times or scores with others to see who can solve the daily puzzle the fastest or most efficiently. Hints and Assistance: Hint System: A hint system can show a valid placement for a tent or highlight a cell where a tent must go. Undo: Players can undo their last move to try a different approach if they realize they made a mistake. Error Highlighting: The game can highlight incorrect placements of tents to help the player correct them. Responsive Design: Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the game is responsive, ensuring a smooth experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. The grid and user interface adjust to different screen sizes, providing an optimal puzzle-solving experience across various devices. Daily Streaks and Achievements: Streak Tracking: Players can track their progress with a daily streak counter, showing how many days in a row they’ve solved the puzzle. Achievements: The game can reward players with achievements, such as completing a puzzle without using hints, solving it in a certain time frame, or completing a week of daily puzzles.
