Battleships
About this game
Battleships is a popular Flash game that brings the classic Battleship board game to life in a digital form. The game retains the original mechanics of the board game while adding interactive and visually dynamic elements that make it even more fun and engaging for players. In this Flash-based version, players typically take turns guessing coordinates on the opponent’s grid to find and destroy their ships. Objective: The goal of the Battleships Flash game is to sink all of your opponents ships before they sink yours. Players take turns selecting grid coordinates where they believe an enemy ship is located. The opponent will either report a hit or a miss based on where the shot lands. The Grid: Each player has a 10x10 grid. The rows are typically numbered from 1 to 10, and the columns are labeled with A to J, creating coordinates like A1, C5, F9, etc. Each player secretly arranges their fleet on their grid before the game begins. The ships are placed either horizontally or vertically. Ships: The ships in the game generally follow the same rules as the classic Battleship board game: Aircraft Carrier (5 squares) Battleship (4 squares) Cruiser (3 squares) Submarine (3 squares) Destroyer (2 squares) Players need to hide their ships strategically while attempting to guess where their opponents ships are located. Taking Turns: On each turn, a player calls out a coordinate (e.g., B6, E4) to attack. The opponent responds with either: Hit if the shot lands on a part of a ship. Miss if the shot lands in an empty space. Players alternate turns until all ships on one side have been sunk. Ship Sinking: A ship is considered sunk when all of its segments are hit by the opponent. Once a ship is sunk, the opponent is notified, and the player can continue attacking until all the ships are destroyed. Winning the Game: The player who sinks all of the opponents ships first wins the game.
